American Idol is working on getting the final two judges to join Katy Perry and Ryan Seacrest on the judge's panel, and according to sources, Lionel Richie and Charlie Puth are the two favourite choices.
An Idol source revealed to TMZ that Lionel Richie is still a favourite to fill one of the positions, while singer Charlie Puth is the front runner for the other seat. Show execs will reportedly meet with ABC this week to finalize their choices and make offers.
Sources also say Luke Bryan could step in to replace either after impressing producers in early discussions. Keith Urban, who judged during the show's final seasons, could slide in as an alternative if things don't work out with the other 3.
Ryan Seacrest announced on a recent episode of Live With Kelly And Ryan that he will be the host. Both Katy and Ryan are anxiously waiting to see who joins them.
