A country's representation in the UEFA Champions League is determined by its UEFA coefficient ranking at the start of the previous season , which is calculated over a five-year basis.
The list above is provisional and is subject to pending legal proceedings and final confirmation from UEFA.
A new system of qualification for the club competition will begin for the 2018/19 season with the top four nations (Spain, Germany, England and Italy) each receiving four automatic UEFA Champions League group places.
